Re: Post your gear

I have an i9-11900K powerful machine doing powerful DSP - headphones EQ All music upsampled to DSD256 sample rate to RME ADI-2 (running in DSD Direct Mode), on the fly. PC is grounded. I have Intona 7055-B (5kV isolation) between powerful PC and my ADI-2. After ADI-2 I have a grounded SMSL SH-9 THX ...

Re: Cannot achieve lock with Streamer

That points me that the rpi4 does not deliver enough power for the isolator. Is the DAC USB-powered? Which isolator model do you have? DAC is Chord Qutest and have seperate USB power supply for it. i have usb 3.0 1kv version one. This DAC's USB input is already galvanically isolated. But some probl...

USB 2.0 Isolator 5kV Model 7055-B

Hi Daniel Some questions: 1. For the USB 2.0 5kV isolator (7055-B) - is the "data" isolated optically? 2. Also, since Intona does not present as a USB hub to connected PC/Mac, then does this mean it does NOT 'regenerate' the USB signal like a USB hub does? Or it does regenerate the USB sig...

Re: Cannot maintain connection with audio analyzer

The -D version has a completely different circuit for the 3.0 portion. It consists of a receiver -> DSP -> laser diode -> gap -> optical receiver -> DSP -> transmitter. This guarantees not only zero BER* but has also no intentional capacitive coupling. AC isolation can be considered the same here a...
