Isolate 2.5" external SSD connected to Streamer/DAC
Having connected a 2,5" external SSD to my Lumin by USB I am wondering if 1) it is possible to interconnect an isolator and, if 1= yes 2) can one expect positive results by doing this?

About 1): yes!
About 2): at least you won't expect to make it worse.
2a) If you expect any difference in your audio quality: this is technically impossible. If somebody is promising any difference in audio by using isolators or filters connected to storage media, he is very likely cheating you. There are some fundamental misunderstandings in the audiophile world that opens a big market to abuse.
2b) Using an isolator on storage media may help if you are experiencing audio drop-outs, reading errors or similar. In this case, you have a ground issue that can be controlled with USB isolation.
