A USB port reset request failed(Code 43) issue

Post by storaid »

Dear Intona Support Team,

I am currently experiencing an issue with my Intona 7055-C USB isolator(v2.0.3) on a Windows 11 system.
After resuming my computer from sleep mode, the device stops functioning and displays the following error in Device Manager:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A USB port reset request failed.
Device settings for USB\VID_0000&PID_0001\a&72138b6&0&1 were not migrated from previous OS installation due to partial or ambiguous device match.

Last Device Instance ID: USB\VID_0000&PID_0002\5&cc3f949&0&10
Class GUID: {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}
Location Path:
Migration Rank: 0xF000FFFFFFFFF100
Present: false
Status: 0xC0000719
Could you please provide guidance on resolving this issue? Specifically:
1. Is there a firmware update available for the 7055-C that addresses this problem?

Thank you for your time and assistance.
Please let me know if you need additional information or diagnostic data.

Best regards,
C.H. Lin

My setup is as follows:
PC (Host, ASUS Z790) > OWC Thunderbolt Dock > Intona 7055-C > iFi-audio ZEN DAC3.

I noticed that, despite the "Code 43" error reported in Device Manager, the connected DAC continues to function normally without any noticeable impact on audio performance.
This behavior seems strange to me.
But that error is annoying...

While the device still works, I would prefer to resolve this issue and avoid the error message appearing altogether.

Could you please provide guidance on how to address this?

Thank you for your assistance!

I'm unaware of this problem (and there is no firmware update available for this). Looks like this is a specific thing with the OWC Dock?
Does the isolator also go to sleep mode when the computer does? You can watch this by the green (or blue) LED on the device which should turn off.

Thank you for your response.
It’s possible that this is related to the OWC Dock, but I’m not certain yet.

"Does the isolator also go to sleep mode when the computer does?"
No, the isolator always stays lit (the LED remains on) even when the computer is in sleep mode.

Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to check.
Thanks

Dear,
Hello,
I wanted to provide an update regarding the issue.

I noticed a specific behavior:
When the OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock(USB 3.2 Gen1, using Infineon Technologies CYUSB4357-BZXC) is connected directly to the PC, the "Code 43" error occurs after the computer wakes from sleep mode usually.
However, when I connect the OWC Dock to a USB 2.0 output from another Type-C USB hub, the issue no longer occurs.
* PC (Host, ASUS Z790) > OWC Thunderbolt Dock > Type-C(3.0, IN) USB HUB(2.0, OUT) > Intona 7055-C > iFi-audio ZEN DAC3

I am not sure why this resolves the issue, but it seems like this error can be suppressed.
Compatibility between USB 3.2 Gen1 (Infineon CYUSB4357-BZXC) and the Intona 7055-C isolator??
