Wanted: a small four port Gigabit Ethernet switch that can be powered by Power-over-Ethernet which in turn powers the next PoE device.
Multiple switches should be able to daisy-chain this way.
Anyone?

There are a lot. Just a few of them:
Audio:
If you have a Dante, AES67 or AVB network running but don't want to star-wire each loudspeaker. This product enables you to daisy-chain tens of additional nodes. In case of AVB, there will be an additional model with active PTP, as required by the standard.
This scenario is mostly seen on stage or in installations. But there situations at home where you just want an additional network node without fiddling with wall-warts, for sure.
Office:
Some offices just have too less Ethernet ports but have POE enabled for telephony. Now you can add Ethernet ports between the wall and the phone without hazzle.
