7055-D issue with Startech USB3SAB10M Dell U4919DW

Hello,

I just bought 7055-D and am experimenting with it. I am trying to use 7055-D with Startech USB3SAB10M and Dell U4919DW. I get device descriptor request failed and device not recognized errors. Everything works OK without the 7055-D in between

I can only get occasional USB 1.0 connectivity on the rear USB ports of the monitor for mouse/keyboard. The bottom ports of monitor do not work at all, and the rear ports will not do 2.0 or 3.0 speeds, just 1.0 it seems.

What is the first things I should check?

I tried Dell Precision Tower built in rear USB as well as a High Point RU1144F card using dedicated 1:1 AsMedia controller/root hub for each port. Same result.

I want to use Intona because the monitor is across room plugged into a different power circuit, and I have issues with random lockup on rare occasion.

It works without the Startech cable?
I'm not sure how the Startech active cable actually works. I suspect that it tunnels all 2.0 transfers into 3.0 packets. This introduces issues which may cause trouble like this together with the isolation circuit.
I'd try putting the isolator at the other end of the cable.

I haven't tried it directly yet as its permanently ceiling mounted away from computer. When I use a USB meter, it shows 0.037 amps current if I give it Aux power, however the behavior is same. I also tried putting it at the other end (great idea) but same behavior

Do you happen to have other similar Dell ultrasharp in your lab or office? I'd assume all the Dells are pretty similar and Startech is the one doing something weird.

I do have access to Dell Ultrasharm monitors and checked it. Works here. Unfortunately, I don't have a Startech available.
